Who is Marishka Pilch? And what is PET2Market?

I am an independent consultant who specializes in marketing Positron Emission Tomography and growing PET scan volumes on behalf of my clients. I am regularly surprised to find that many physicians simply don’t know how to incorporate PET into their everyday case management, which is the primary reason I started PET2Market. I know I can help you grow your PET business. I love to talk about PET, and I have been very successful helping my clients build and grow their PET practices.

What will I get?

You will get a savvy, efficient, professional and personable PET marketing representative to interact on your behalf with the referring medical community. Your physicians will receive customized PET Case of the Month, journal articles, and important insurance and scheduling updates. You will have a PET physician liaison, who understands their clinical questions, and will provide the appropriate information – or triage if necessary - and report the results to you. You will have a consultant who has access to many PET resources, and knows how to leverage them effectively.

How will this benefit my facility?

Bottom line…increased PET scan referrals. There is no learning curve here! Other than gaining an understanding of how your particular practice functions, I will be “up to speed” from day one. I have been working in PET for several years and I love it! You won’t have the expense of hiring and training someone who may or may not work out, or who may be uncomfortable with PET. You will have the benefit of a consultant who has solid experience growing PET scan volumes.

How will PET2Market manage delivery/fulfillment?

Because I take on a limited number of select clients at any one time, I am able to ensure prompt, efficient service.

What are the risks (financial and performance)?

You carry virtually no risk, as you can cancel my service with or without cause with 30 days written notice. However, I feel confident that you will be as pleased with my service as all of my other clients. My track record and reputation is excellent. I encourage you to call on my references.

What experience do you have with similar projects?

For the past 4 years, I have developed a successful track record of increasing diagnostic imaging scan volumes – for PET, PET/CT, MRI, and CT - at hospitals both large and small, clinics and outpatient imaging centers. However, I have also worked in the medical field for over 15 years – in scheduling, office management, and marketing. I have the experience and the resources to make your site successful.

How will you ensure quality and customer satisfaction?

In addition to the monthly reports, I encourage ongoing communication with my clients. Feel free to call or send an email to me whenever there is a question or concern; I will respond within 24 hours (and usually within 2-3 hours). I typically like to meet informally with my clients and key players at least monthly, and would be happy to schedule formal status meetings on a monthly or quarterly basis as well if you prefer.

How will you know/measure success?

Increased referrals – new physicians referring, new indications referred.

What will I have to do or supply to help guarantee success?

  1. Supply a list of target physicians.
  2. Indicate a point of contact (someone empowered to coordinate meetings, give reports, make decisions, etc.)
  3. A desire to grow your PET business.

What options do we have to choose from?

  1. The 120 day “Quick Start” program is the minimum amount of time I would recommend to realize results, and it provides the basis for all other marketing activities.
  2. Following completion of 120 day program, you may elect monthly, bi-monthly, or “as needed” service.
  3. You may choose to have all expenses included (averaged so that you can budget a set amount each month, or itemized) each month, or you may opt to carve out certain expenses and pay for those separately.
  4. I am very flexible and willing to make our agreement work for both all concerned. If you have an idea or would like something that I haven’t mentioned, let’s talk about it.

What other services do you offer?

One service I particularly like is “PET Case of the Month”. This is a great way to educate your referring physicians on the power of PET in a very practical way, while keeping your name in front of them. This can be purchased “ala carte”, and is included in most packages.

Guest speaker CME event – I will coordinate everything from securing the speaker, to arranging the venue, catering, invitations, etc.

CMS is rolling out the new PET Registry. Make sure your staff and physicians know the rules and how to document this process to ensure you are reimbursed. I stand ready to assist you and your referring physicians in this challenging area.

How much will it cost?

Surprisingly little! Typically, my professional service fees start at $2500 per month, depending on the size and location of your facility. You might easily spend 3 times this much or more on a general PR/marketing firm’s services, and they probably won’t know the first thing about your PET business. You could also hire an in-house marketing representative, pay salary + benefits + training, only to discover that the employee may not be a good fit or doesn’t like working with PET.

What payment terms do you offer?

I invoice once a month for professional service fees and expenses. Payment is due upon receipt of invoice.

Are there any contractual/legal requirements or considerations?

My agreements are pretty basic and straight-forward. Let’s discuss and agree on what terms work best for you, and I will promptly send you a letter of agreement reflecting those terms. Services can begin immediately following receipt of the signed agreement.
