Marishka Pilch, founder of PET2Market, is a former medical office manager with over 10 years experience in sales and marketing, including marketing radiology services. She found her passion for positron emission tomography (P.E.T.) while working as a marketing representative for a national mobile imaging services provider marketing various imaging modalities on behalf of its clients. She desired to focus exclusively on positron emission tomography (P.E.T.), and so when she left that company, (and with a little prompting from her mentor, Sue Minerich, of PETNET Solutions) Marishka decided to ”take a leap of faith” and offer her services as an independent P.E.T. consultant. She hopes to fill an important void in this industry by offering her services to radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, oncologists, hospitals, imaging centers and cancer centers, etc.
Marishka has several years of experience in marketing and educating physicians and their staff about the benefits of positron emission tomography (PET) for their patients and their medical practice. She has a passion for helping people and sees PET as a revolutionary diagnostic tool that is changing the way doctors practice medicine. She makes a great client advocate, not only because she enjoys discussing PET with prospects and desires to share this powerful tool with the medical world, but because she likes to get to know her clients as individuals.
Marishka has a special ability to relate to physicians’ office schedulers and office managers because for many years she walked in their shoes. She worked in medical offices as a receptionist, scheduler, and office manager for over 10 years, and has worked in radiology and PET for over 4 years.
Frequently, while visiting with physicians or their staff, Marishka is able to uncover and correct various process issues that have been barriers to increased referrals. She attends numerous classes and PET symposiums taught by some of the world leaders in PET, and she makes it a point to stay current on the latest PET advances.
Marishka believes that “marketing” has historically had somewhat of a bad name in the medical field, and she is all about changing those perceptions. She maintains that marketing is not just sales, advertising, promotions or public relations, as many seem to think. Marishka believes that we need to change our whole perception and definition of marketing to include, “anything that helps or hinders the use of your product or business.” Marishka’s goal and job number one is to help her clients fill their PET scanner schedule. So whether it’s physician education, working with a scheduler, or creating easy-to-read maps to your facility, her job is to help PET centers cover their costs and even become profitable.
Marishka’s home base is in Seattle, Washington, but she is available to travel and offer consulting in any of the Pacific Northwest states, including Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Northern California, Montana, Utah and Alaska.Web Site designed by Rainier Consulting Services.
